It’s frustrating to miss important voicemails when you’re away from your Samsung Galaxy device, but fortunately, you can still check your voicemails from another phone or device. Whether you’re traveling, your phone is lost or broken, or you simply don’t have access to your Samsung device at the moment, you can listen to your voicemails by dialing in from a different phone or accessing them online.

In this detailed guide, we’ll show you how to access voicemails from different devices for major U.S. carriers like Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Google Voice. These methods are quick and easy, allowing you to retrieve your messages no matter where you are.

How to Access Voicemails on a Different Device

1. Access Voicemails on Verizon from Another Device

If you’re a Verizon customer and want to check your voicemail from a phone other than your own, here’s how you can do it:

Step 1: Dial Your 10-Digit Mobile Number

From any phone, dial your 10-digit Verizon mobile number (your regular phone number). This will connect you to your voicemail system.

Step 2: Press # as Soon as the Voicemail Greeting Starts

Once the voicemail greeting starts playing, immediately press the # key. This will prompt the system to ask for your voicemail password.

Step 3: Enter Your Voicemail Password

Enter your voicemail password when prompted. If you’ve never set one up, the default password might be your last four digits of your phone number, but you can always reset it if needed.

Step 4: Re-enter Your Mobile Number (If Asked)

In some cases, you may be prompted to re-enter your 10-digit mobile number. If so, input your number as requested.

Step 5: Follow the Prompts to Listen to Your Voicemails

Once you’ve entered your voicemail password and number, follow the system prompts to listen to or manage your voicemails.

2. Access Voicemails on T-Mobile from Another Device

For T-Mobile customers, you can also retrieve your voicemail from a different phone if needed:

Step 1: Dial 1-805-637-7249 from Another Device

To check your T-Mobile voicemail from another phone, dial 1-805-637-7249. This is the voicemail access number for T-Mobile.

Step 2: Enter Your 10-Digit Mobile Number

When the voicemail system answers, enter your 10-digit T-Mobile mobile number. This will ensure you’re accessing the correct voicemail inbox.

Step 3: Press * When the Voicemail Greeting Plays

Once the voicemail greeting plays, press the star key (*) to indicate you want to access your voicemail messages.

Step 4: Enter Your Voicemail Password

After pressing *, you’ll be prompted to enter your voicemail password. Enter the password you’ve set for your T-Mobile voicemail system.

Step 5: Follow the Prompts to Listen to Your Voicemails

Once logged in, follow the on-screen or voice prompts to access your voicemail messages. You’ll be able to listen to your voicemails, save, delete, or manage them as needed.

3. Access Voicemails on AT&T from Another Device

AT&T also allows you to check your voicemail from any phone, not just your own. Here’s how you can do it:

Step 1: Dial Your 10-Digit Mobile Number

From any phone, dial your 10-digit AT&T mobile number to reach your voicemail system.

Step 2: Press * When You Hear the Voicemail Greeting

When the voicemail greeting starts playing, press the star key (*) to access your voicemail.

Step 3: Enter Your 10-Digit Wireless Phone Number (If Prompted)

If you hear the main voicemail system greeting after pressing , you’ll be asked to enter your 10-digit wireless phone number followed by **star ()**.

Step 4: Enter Your Voicemail Password

After entering your phone number, you’ll be prompted to enter your voicemail password. If you haven’t set one up, the system may ask for your account PIN or the last four digits of your phone number.

Step 5: Follow the Prompts to Listen to Your Voicemails

After entering the password, follow the instructions provided by the system to listen to, save, or delete your voicemails.

4. Access Voicemails on Google Voice from Another Device

If you use Google Voice for voicemail, you have even more flexibility because you can access your voicemails from any device with an internet connection.

Step 1: Go to voice.google.com on Your Computer

On any computer, go to voice.google.com using your web browser.

Step 2: Click on “Voicemail” on the Left

Once logged in to your Google Voice account, click on the Voicemail option in the left-hand menu. This will take you to the voicemail section of your Google Voice inbox.

Step 3: Click a Voicemail

In the Voicemail section, you’ll see a list of voicemails. Click on any voicemail you’d like to listen to.

Step 4: Tap the Play Button to Listen to the Voicemail or Read the Transcript

Once you select a voicemail, you can either tap the Play button to listen to the message or read the transcript (if available) of the voicemail. This is especially useful if you prefer reading over listening or if you’re in a situation where listening isn’t feasible.

Additional Tips for Accessing Voicemail from a Different Device

  • Ensure Voicemail Setup Is Complete: If you haven’t set up voicemail on your phone, follow the necessary steps to configure it with your carrier. This may include setting a password and enabling voicemail access.
  • Check Your Voicemail Settings: If you have trouble accessing your voicemail from another device, ensure that your voicemail settings are correct. Some carriers may require you to configure voicemail settings manually or provide specific access numbers.
  • Consider Using Voicemail Apps: If you’re using Google Fi or Google Voice, you can access your voicemails not just on your phone, but from any web browser or device. Apps from Verizon, T-Mobile, or AT&T also provide voicemail access on other devices, making managing your messages easy.
